More in-depth than the Emergency First Aid at Work
course, students are assessed on the last day by an external
assessor for practical wound management and bleeding, caring for the
unconscious casualty and life saving skills, also with a short
general multiple choice paper.
Emergency First Aid at Work Refresher
A two day course covering the essentials of the First
Aid at Work course above. Students will be re-assessed allowing
their existing certificate to be extended for another three year
period. This course is only available to those with valid First Aid
at Work certificates. Training must start within 28 days of the
original certificate expiring.
The HSE also highly recommends undertaking a three
hour update course annually, in between qualification courses, to
enable those acting as First Aiders in their workplace to update
their skills.
